Any hope for a Push mini design?

I love the concept of push but, is it just me or is that thing humungous? is there any hope for a smaller design with maybe half the amount of pads?

Yeah push was taking up too much space so I went out and bought a grand piano instead.

I agree. They could do less with the buttons on the side. I don't think we need a button for every single thing

i need a button for every single thing. btw, more pads and knobs would be nice. also a fadersection like apc have would be nice.
I would say 4x64 pads, 4x16 knobs and 17 faders would be nice.

Faders would be so nice. Then maybe I wouldn't need an APC40 or a Korg NanoKontrol.

How is it large?????
Compared to a nanopad it's large.
Compared to a launchpad it's large.
Compared to a 61 key keyboard it's small
Compared to a Mackie MCU it's small
Compared to an MPD32 it's the same
Compared to an APC40 it's the same
I find it quite optimal for what it does

Nah, I don't find it too large. If it was twice the size, that would be quite amazing as well - 128 pads! I mainly use it in my little home studio setup though, so it's always stationary.
Even if I did travel with it a lot, its size wouldn't bother me I think. I do occasionally go across London to a friend's place to jam a bit, and I took it to Cape Town once. Push and a 15" laptop fitted just about into a laptop case designed for just a laptop. Not sure how I manage that.
Concerning its weight. Dunno, simply enroll in the army or something and gain strength and endurance. Or use a wheeled suitcase

I personally think it's too rugged. I want noisy plastic function buttons and loosy goosey knobs. And a plastic case. Then I'd toss it around a bit.
The current model could easily be used to kill a person.

Depending on who the person is, this could be a good thing.

I really hope Ableton don't listen to any of these ideas, a small unit, with faders, thats cheaply made. no thanks
Faders would be alright if they were touch strips, otherwise it would be another awkward thing to not bump when intricately mixing a song
I say, Ableton push without the pads altogether would be cool, something low profile I can sit on my 88 key weighted keyboard when performing live, to control Live.
Other than that, Push is so amazing as is. IMO

they should relese "Fade"
a 17 faders controller with knobs for pan and sends
same form factor of Push
they would sit next to each other nicely on my desk.

Nah, it should be called "Slide".
The closer it is in design to the Dubspot / Livid DS1 the better. The world needs more mixer style controllers.
