While it's possible in Live to send an effect back to itself by turning up the send knob on that effect channel, I find that when you turn that send up it cuts out delayed echo repeats until you turn it past about 90%, 100 out of 127 in midi speak.

What's up with that? Is that a bug or a safety feature to avoid too much feedback? It's really a pain because if you're trying to get more feedback from the delay, you end up cutting it out altogether until the knob is cranked past midi 100. I don't understand why this would be made this way. Any thoughts?

its true, you cant feed a send itself until infinity. imagine you route the send to itself with a boost in amplitude, the amplitude would increase every sample and reach infinity very fast (with infinity I mean an amplitude that does not make any sense in a musical mix).

if you want more feedback from a delay (for example "Simple Delay") you should increase the effect's build in feedback knob.

often, routing the output of an effect to its own input produces unpredictable results, sometimes, musical interesting.
