Making arrangement view more user friendly

Hi,
Let me begin by saying thanks to the Ableton team for making this software, it's absolutely brilliant.
Wishing to add some things to the wish list, some suggestions based on my recent purchase of Ableton 9, specifically in Arrangement view.

Zooming in and out of a clip view is tedious because it requires moving the mouse up to the little circle, scrolling the wheel mouse up or down should allow for zoom in and zoom out instead. I know there are work-arounds but please consider making that a standard feature, many people have requested it, as per forums.

I've been using a software called Sony Vegas 9 for movie editing, and the ease of working with the audio files in comparison to Ableton makes me wish the Ableton engineers would get a copy to test it out. Sony Vegas isn't an DAW, but in comparison to the Ableton workflow, it's much easier to edit the audio clips. You can zoom in and out with mouse wheel, you can press S anywhere on a clip to splice, it becomes a new clip which can easily be moved around. Wishing it was easier to do that in Ableton. I know this might be blasphemy to the diehards used to the Ableton flow, but i can't help but sharing my opinion that the Arrangement view could be tweaked to be more powerful, at least from a newcomer perspective. Please consider adding a simple slice option which will cut clips up into separate entities, easily, and when copied into Session view would be cropped, as in, nothing else showing. Now, having said all that, it's entirely possible i have no idea what i'm doing and i'll get used to things. I suspect that may be the case, nevertheless, thanks for your time and cheers, keep up the good work!

Hey!!

1, CMD or CTRL E is split clip....

2, Right click on a clip in session view and choose crop clip...

Cheers
