OOPS! C: set as vst plugin folder accidentally - now trouble

Can ANYONE help me, I accidentally set the plugin folder as C: by clicking once too many times when I shouldn't have. Live had a hernia when this happened and shut down. Now Live wants to open this as the plugin folder everytime I open it, and it takes a million years interpreting every .dll file as a plugin. I tried un-installing and re-installing. Still does the same thing. I'm in a bit of a pinch, can someone recommend anything.

Hi Noematus,

how long are your "million years"? If it is only some minutes you can start Live, wait these minutes and then reset the VST folder in Live's preferences.

Or you delete or better rename the preferences file.
For Live 4.1.4 it can be found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Ableton\Live 4.1.4\Preferences\Preferences.cfg". This "Application Data" folder can be hidden so you may have to change your settings to see it.
