Hi, i just buyed the new roland tb-3.
I never plugged something on with ableton, with the roland tb-3 u can plug it in with usb, the usb makes 2 midi in's en 2 midi out's, u should be able to recieve the audio from tb-3 in ableton. But that isn't working for me. I want to trigger my tb-3 trough ableton in my live set. Is this possible and how?

Sorry for my English.

Grtz. :)

I do have audio interface with midi to if needed?

Hi Grtz

The way I have the TB-3 set up is like this -

TB-3 connected to Macbook via USB (make sure you have downloaded the driver from the Roland website), or via Midi to your audio interface if you prefer.

1/4" jack from TB-3 to an input on your audio interface.

Setup a Midi track in Ableton, add an External Instrument to the track.

The External Instrument settings should be - Midi To>TB-3 and select Channel 2. Audio From should be whatever input you are using on your interface.

Hope this helps.
