The release notes don't show anything that really hits home with me personally.

Text color automatically inverts, so now you can assign dark colors for tracks, etc.
It's not quite enough to make me jump up and sing Kool and the Gang Celebrate, but it's still something I'll use.

Good to know! I'll be downloading it tonight.
There is one change in there I'm looking forward to--clip titles automatically change to white font on dark background colors!! It's the little things in life... LOL

I do wish Ableton would make these available as patches rather than having to d/l the entire thing again.
Latest Cubase update = 148MB
Latest Live update = 680MB (more than 4 times bigger)

YEAH!
I mean, the Live exe is under 40MB - why should we need to download almost 700MB for a few bug fixes?

Turn on automatic updates in the preferences. You won't have to download the whole thing again, it'll just download the update.
Just turn the option on, close Live, wait a few seconds before opening again, then give it 5-10 minutes to download, close, then open again and it should be updated.

Are you sure it just downloads a small file?
I've had auto updates enabled before and it often took an age to do its thing. Sometimes it just refused to do it at all.

Updates are now very small files.

Make sure you not only give it time to download, but also install. In other words, when shutting down and restarting Live each time don't restart it immediately, or else it might not install properly.

I'm using it and it crashes everytime I collect and save... for me it is quite a nightmare to use.
the 9.1.2b5 seemed more stable.
EDIT: it is one specific project which is pretty charged with duplicated devices.

Wait, Lives crashing every time i save and i wonder if it's got something to do with the update.
Are you getting serious program error messages? I'll have to test it with the beta.

Crashes while scanning VST. Admin mode doesn't fix this. The beta works.
