Stop Macros settings from swapping when changing tracks?

Is there a way to stop the macros from changing when selecting a new track while in Session mode?
I'm playing in a session and might be opening up a filter macro, but when I bring in a new drum clip on another track, the macros suddenly change to the macros assigned to the drum track meaning that my filter macro is now changing the decay on a kick for example.
I know why this is the case and it seems totally logical - however, for me, i'd rather the macros stay as they are independently of whatever track I've just triggered.
Is there a setting for this anywhere?
