changing VST effect presets - program change?

Hi,
I understand how to change presets for VST instruments (using the bank, program change settings in a midi clip)
However, im wondering is there any way to change vst presets/banks in a VST effect, such as Ohmforce Ohmboyz for instance?
If I just have a plain audio track I cant see any way of changing the banks in a clip.
