Nope.
But can you drag it into an audio clip in Session view? If so, try and do that then click+hold on the new clip, press TAB to switch to arrange view and place where you like. If you cannot drag into a clip in Session (on an Audio.. not MIDI track) then perhaps Live doesn't recognise the WAV file you have.

You might want to wait a second when you're holding the file over where you want to place it.
When I swithed to windows 7 I noticed live is more 'sensitive' when it comes to admin rights and I thought it was rejecting my files too, until I realized I just had to wait longer sometimes with the drag n drop.

Cant drag into session either. Ive unloaded all folders from Live because it was taking so long to start and close. I think the windows permissions may have changed with the last update.

Are you running Live as Administrator? I can't drag waves in when I run Live as Administrator.

I guess that'll be the problem. - Drove me crazy for over a year until I realized that the problem was Live running in administrator mode.
A solution can be to use an explorer alternative like free commander, because this can also run in administrator mode (win explorer unfortunately can't) and then you'll be able to drag and drop again.

I need to use admin and is having this problem. The reason I need to used admin is because I get an error code when not using admin

What error code do you get?
The issue is not with live but in how Windows handles user permissions. If you run Live as an Admin then it is run at a "higher level" of authority and therefore files in your explorer are now at a lower authority and so it blocks ability to drag files in.
There is some info about it here:

Short answer is to not run as admin.
