2 keyboards, 1 sustain pedal?

I'm struggling to get my head round this:

I have a Roland RD700 I'm using as a stage piano and controller for Live instruments. It has the sustain pedal.
I also have a little Korg Micro X (couple of octaves) that I use for LH pad and bass sounds.
If I midi out from the RD to the Korg I can use the sustain pedal to sustain the Korg but it also sends the RH notes there too (which is not what I'd like).
Is there a way to hook the Korg up as a Live external instrument and somehow filter out everything but the sustain messages?
Or some other way?
As you can tell, I'm not too au fait with this stuff.
I think I could have done it in Logic's environment (but then I'm not sure either!)
I ought to add I'm using an 8 port midi hub (Emagic AMT) - the Korg has usb and 5pin MIDI in/out
Hopefully yours,
Patrick in SW Florida

Change the midi channel on one of your controllers and then designate specific midi channels on on Live's channel input. Or even designate specific controller inputs (that probably wouldn't require channel changing)

If you have Max for live I wrote a basic patch a while ago that could help you with your problem. Let me know if you want the link.

Thanks - I'll go try that. But how do I split out the sustain messages from the RD to the Korg (which I want) whilst leaving the note on/offs behind?

Sustain pedal automation is cc# 64.

Here you go! Essentially you just drop it as a midi device before anything you want to sustain and then midi map your sustain pedal to the button. I can't say too much about how it'll work with your setup, but hopefully it helps!

A bit more help please? I don't understand the MIDI data my sustain pedal produces:

On hold:
13:21:52.680 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 17
13:21:52.692 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 70
13:21:52.704 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 112
13:21:52.716 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 127

On release:
13:22:03.912 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 61
13:22:03.924 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 24
13:22:03.936 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 58
13:22:03.948 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 100
13:22:03.960 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 127
13:22:04.008 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 58
13:22:04.020 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 9
13:22:04.032 From Port 8 Control 1 Hold Pedal 0

I thought it should just be CC 0-63 (on) and CC 64-127 (off)
Any ideas please?

For non-max users, I made a piece of software that also fixes this problem. Hope this helps someone! https://supercontroller.net/
