ASIO sounds crushed with Live 4.1.2

Hi,
I can not get my ASIO to work reliably. I use an M-Audio preUSB which works flawlessly with Sonar 4. Ableton 4 just butchers my audio on ASIO. What can be done? Is there a quick solution or is this a bug with Live? I'm leaning hard toward a bug. ASIO works fine with other apps.
I need a solution. What are your thoughts?
