Mapping when IN user mode

1. weird encoder behaviour:
When I map any of the encoders to something in Live, turning an encoder to the right
is quite jumpy but kind a works. but turning them to the left makes the value jump
directly to the minimum value.
is there something i can do about it?
2. When I use the pitch effect to make one pad control a variety of different cells inside a drumrack,
the original cell is selected each time i hit a button. It PLAYS the pitched one,
but always selects the cell with the original Note value. this is really annoying.
Is the aftertouch selecting the cells? and if so, can i do something about this?
