ableton gurus chime in for some suggestions please

is there a M4L tool i can use to send a random value to a certain parameter in live such as the pitch of an audio file so it plays a random pitch within certain values i can set? i know there was also a m4l lfo you could use to modulate parameters in live, something i really was looking forward to but don't know exactly what it is called.

any suggestions welcome

Building a tool like the one you describe isn't difficult in Max. Maybe you should try to take the plunge, it's rewarding and addictive !
