Hello, Live newbie here.
I am really puzzled by this changing delay I can hear here in the first 60 seconds of this deadmau5 track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDndZn0YPdI
Is this what I think it is, i.e. a smartly automated delay, or I am searching in the wrong direction?
Many thanks

hit the squares with the little numbers on the simple delay while recording.

Re: deadmau5 / delay automation question
Would that give you this effect? The squares are for sync mode. This sounds like time based mode. Feedback on full, delay just off the actual period of the dry signal
Re: deadmau5 / delay automation question
This is probably a combination of filtering of the sound from the synth whilst modulating the wet/dry, feedback and delay time parameters of a delay. Not necessarily automated. It's fun to have these parameters assigned to a controller and to jam for a live take.pt109 wrote:Is this what I think it is, i.e. a smartly automated delay, or I am searching in the wrong direction?

sounds like the synth is hitting 1/4 note triplets and then hes sliding the delay ms up slowly....
