Hi friends,

In a current project I have a canned drum loop. I want to tweak it and create a variation using the same kit sounds (of the loop). I Sliced loop to MIDI but the slices are large and dont get divided by each kick, snare , hat etc. What do I do next?

On the audio loop, add your own warp markers where you want it to slice. Then use the Warp Markers slicing preset when you slice to new midi track.

Or drag the loop into arrangement and slice where you want to with ctrl/cmd+E, then drag them into drum rack or sampler.

If you warp the loop in Beats mode you can make a previous part of that loop play over that last bit.

Another option is to have the start position on beat 1.1.1, but the Loop start position on like, 1.4.1, with a length of 1 bar....... But that's not quite the same.

You're probably best off editing it like the others suggested.
