Maxforlive Drumsynth with Push - parameter layout?

Hi there,

I am absolutely unfamiliar wit m4l yet. However I built a Drumrack with different Drumsynth devices in it. Some of these drum modules have more parameters to tweak than my 8 encoder on Push allow to control. With Abletons own plugins like Filter Delay I can switch between different banks of parameters by pressing "return" on Push.
How could I customize my Drumsynth module so that I am also able to access more than 8 parameters via Push?

That would be so phenomenal!

Thanks,
Laurentius

I also found it annoying the way the parameters of certain drum synth modules were arranged or just missing entirely but this is easily rectified.

As an example take the kick synth*

If you've never messed with m4l then first off hit the edit button!

1.Unfreeze the device (snowflake icon bottom right)
(You'll now be in presentation mode)

2.Select patching mode (Painters easel/board icon)

you're now presented with the internal structure of the synth (a max patch)

3. Find the parameter dials you want to adjust*

The top level parameters in the max patch for the kick synth are:

Pitch
Drive
Amt
Res
Slope

The dial positions in the max patch have nothing to do with the lcd display position btw

4.Right click the Pitch dial and choose inspector from the context menu

---Make sure you're under the All section within the inspector and scroll to bottom--

The automapping index is what you need to change. Notice that pitch is currently set to 4 and this corresponds to encoder 4 position. So bank1 is encoder/automapping index 1-8, bank2 9-16 etc.

The parameters that are not mapped at all I've found are automapped to 0 but can of course be changed.

Let us know how you get on

Great! I've been wondering about this myself. I'll definitely dig into this too, thanks for the info.
