Encoder Sensitivity, missing playhead?

So, I find some VSTs require finer control of parameters than the encoders on the push are using, and I know there must be an option somewhere, maybe in Live's files somewhere that would allow the encoder resolution to be adjusted? Anybody know anything about this or willing to take a look?

Secondly, I'm finding at some point the playhead will disappear in certain tracks, it used to disappear from all tracks completely until I would stop my computer's screensaver, now it happens still with the 9.1.2 upgrade but only on old tracks that aren't the newest created, I've seen the up arrow on the push flashing since upgrading to 9.1.2 and sometimes I can go into user mode and out again and that will fix it, but other times not...no idea what's going on there

PUSH SCRIPT MODS
Following are modifications to the Push MIDI Remote Script.

Includes UserSettings file so that you can determine which modifications to use.

•Allows Shift + Record to toggle Arrangement Record.

•Allows Step Sequencer input to be velocity-sensitive so that steps turned on will have the velocity that the corresponding button sent.

•Allows use of the SeaPush color scheme (created by Ableton forum user triant
