I am bussing everything to an audio track, selecting in and no input, and I am unable to control volume on tracks that have return sends. I want to adjust the volume on the buss track and not on the individual tracks, is there a way to accomplish this?

The easiest way is to select all the tracks you want to "buss" to and select "group"

If I'm following.

Basically when I turn the volume off on the buss I can still hear audio on the tracks that are bussed. I am grouping the tracks as well.

switch the faders to post instead of pre.

You mean the sends? I tried switching between pre and post on the sends and I'm still having the same issue.

If I turn the sends off on the channel than I am able to adjust volume, filter, etc. But when I send signal to the return track I am no longer able to control volume as the signal goes straight to the master.

Change the output of your tracks to sends only to work in this way...
