I use RAM discs for both my cache and temp recording folder. I find it to make all the difference in terms of system performance. I like iRAM disk for the easy to use interface, the fact that it recreates each disk in the exact place each time I boot up my computer, and the fact that I can have it back up the information automatically for me.

Anyone else use this App or RAM disk in general?

I am intrigued so I downloaded ImDisk and I'm going to give it a try. I'm running 32 bit Live on a 32GB system so I've got plenty of RAM to spare for something just like this. Thanks for the post.

Trying to use it but running into problems with Live 9.7, it claims that the iRamDisk folder is not empty, even when it is (at least before trying to set it). I have just contacted support and am waiting for reply.

I also have 32GB of RAM which is a ridiculous amount for Live.
