Atoms for Peace Synth Sound

Post by juniortaxi » Fri Jun 27, 2014 5:22 am

Hey guys,

I've been trying to get a certain synth sound but can't quite nail it. I was hoping one of you fine folks might be able to shed some light...

The desired sound is the synth in the first minute or so of this Atoms For Peace vid

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o90VsOopAws

I have a feeling this is something super simple but I'm having difficulty getting mine to sound as smooth/lush. My hunch is that the sounds are being created via a Monomachine, however is there a way to create such a sound in Ableton/m4l?

Thanks!

Are you talking about the high pad sound or the more rolling percussive sounds?

Sorry, should have been more specific. I'm talking the high pad sound.

Hey

It could sound like a basic saw/triangle pad patch, with the filter down (24dB) and the resonance way up to give it that "glassy" quality.

My 2 cents…
