9 point 1 point 3

I followed the last beta with much yawning. I also skipped 9.1.2 because some people apparently had push issues and a couple of other things that cropped up.

So here we go again

Hits? Misses? I saw one person can't use the apc 40.

Changes for Push:

Certain Max for Live devices which accessed the Push Touch Strip would not work properly.
That's it?!

It really starts to feel like they let the Push development stagnate.

Dear Ableton,
Your work is not done in this regard!
Thanks
An impatient Push user

It does sorta feel like not much has really been done with Push recently, I agree. Lots of talk that more new features were coming, but I haven't heard of anything new in quite some time.

+1

I'm astounded how little push development there has been.

By looking at the lack of activity on the beta forum, they are probably busy working on Live 10.

I've sent 3 bug reports for 9.1.3.
they are busy working on fixing bugs.

Beta forum inactivity doesn't mean users are not sending bug reports.

Ableton staff always prefer users to fill complete bug reports over posting on the beta forum, easier way for them to spot bugs directly and work.
One's bug reports are not visible for other users but I bet you they've received a lot lot lot of those reports.

I have to say I'm confused by the last comment. Are you saying that they'd rather see a bug report (through regular channels) than noticing it in the beta?

I'm downloading it. I might be the guinea pig this time around. It's been a while since I've updated

Mackie Control VDU issue fixed.
Tom's community mappings working OK.
PXT-Live/Plus not working but Stray will have it ready by 8th July.
Push Mod Scripts not working.
9.1.2 was very stable, not one crash.
9.1.3 definitely uses less CPU on the project I'm on at the moment. Up to 80% on 9.1.2. About 35% on 9.1.3. Don't know what that's all about.

I'd be fine if it was the same. Intrigued by this cpu thing though. On my system, I don't have a problem, but if there is an improvement that is fine with me :D

Yup... disappointing that Push development essentially stopped... Makes me wonder if it is being tied to the next major Live upgrade.

That's scary. I love push. I really don't want to pony up for a "push 2"

To me, it hasn't reached it's potential. I'm a glass empty kinda guy, but I have to think they are developing it further :?

That would be a major fuck you to the users of Push :x

But I somehow doubt it, that's not how Ableton operates, remember they gave Live 8 64bit support in 8.4 just before releasing Live 9.
Which was the right thing to do, not going for the easy up-sell to Live 9.

Well I have been sending them issues with video exporting, and they fixed some things. Try to render a video with live 9.1.2 64 bits you'll see what I mean

you can only export video with 9.1.2 32 bits.

I don't think you can deduce much about the future plans of Ableton on the basis of an assessment of activity on the beta forum.
