Plugin Visibility for External Instrument Associations

Would it be possible to provide plugin window visibility for External Instrument associations?
For instance, if Omnisphere is on Track 1 and an External Instrument on Track 2 is configured for input/output from/to the Omnisphere instance on Track 1, would it be possible to show the Omnisphere plugin window when either Track 1 or Track 2 is selected?
This is beyond the scope of simply disabling auto-hide as I would greatly prefer to only see the Omnisphere plugin window when the actual Omnisphere track or an associated External Instrument track is selected. I believe this would greatly enhance the use of multi-timbral plugins in Live, especially in a live setting.
My apologies if this is possible somehow as I have yet to discover it.
