Automatic loop quantization

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone know this kind of device:

I got 8 Loops tracks that goes to Suma track, and one Guitar track. When I play guitar I can record 8 slots of different loops.
Let's assume that all the clips are recorded and playing.
What I want to do now is to press a magic button that will change the quantization for example to 1/4 (so they will all loop in 1/4).
Pressing it again will start to loop in their normal rate.

Take into consideration that I cannot map anything on the clips settings, because the clips changes dynamically as they are being recorded and deleted all the time.
The device have to be connected to either every Loop track or the Master track... anyone? :)

Quantization and loop length are two different things. Did you mean "launch" instead of "loop"? Or did you mean loop for only 1/4 measure (which doesn't seem right).

What I meant is that 1/4 measure is global. So with 1/4 every single clip will loop after 1/4 lenght, no matter how long it is.

Hi again!

I was able to automate triggering your latest device (the one with GATE MODE). The only thing I am fighting with right now is making it work in Quantization mode other than NONE... any ideas?

I found the same thing as you, I'll see what I can do.

I never found a way to change the individual clip quantization using M4L. I think this can be done with ClyphX though.

Honestly I don't need to change the quantization of the clips. What I did is I have a separate midi clips that are sending midi cc messages. I route those messages back into the Ableton using virtual midi driver so those midi clips automatically triggers the M4L devices on every track. So now I have different clips to different quantization (1/4, 1/8 etc.) I just trigger them and the magic begins :) It just would be great if the device would work in all global quantization modes, not onldy NONE.
