Rewiring Live 4.12 with ProTools Help

Hi everyone

I've exhaustively searched these forums in need of a solution to my rewire prolems but I have not found a smiliar situation to help me in anyway.

Here is my process...(note: Ableton rewire engine already installed all on OS X 10.3.9)

Open ProTools 6.9 and set up stereo rewire insert track with Mix L/R outputs>
Open Live 4.12 with all tracks routed to master, and master routed to Mix L/R>

Problem: When i press play all I hear are wierd annoying tones being played through. I do see activity on the fader levels. I've also tested the system installing my old Live lite edition rewired into ProTools that came with my Digi 002. I've never gotten rewire to work on any version, including 4.14. I've never downloaded live 4.13.

I know I've rewired correctly, even double checked the tutorial posted online. I spent an eniter day just playing with different setups and scenarios just to get any audio that is not tones.

If someone can please help me I would be in deep gratitude. Thanks.

This is freakishly odd. I've tried every single possible scenario trying to get any version of live (currently 4.14) to rewire into pro-tools. I've deleted all the old rewire engines and uninstalled and installed a bunch of thigs to no avail for me.
I contacted ableton's support email and the gave me the same generic answer in their tutorials. I've read the FAQ's for rewire many times!

If this does not end up working for me I hope Ableton will refund me the purchase price.

Not one person here has any similar problem?

I'm losing it!

I completely reformatted my hard drive and installed protools 6.9 and live 4.14

I am still getting the same results posted prior. I cannot get this rewire to work at all! Can it be an issue with my digi 002 console?
