The way you can tap one measure of whatever time signature you've selected to initiate PLAYBACK is cool, but what I really need is the ability to start track recording in session view instead of playback, as I'm trying to do everything by foot via FCB1010. I've tried 'start recording on scene launch' set in my preferences, but that doesn't work. Fact of life with 4.1.4, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Update on this. I've discovered that tap tempo starts recording just the way you want if you are in ARRANGEMENT view and enable recording on the tool bar. It records into the arrangement. It does basically the same thing when you are in SESSION view, but that isn't quite the behavior that is needed (IMHO).

I want it to work in SESSION view as follows:

1) record enable a track or tracks
2) select a scene
3) tap tap tap tap
4) the clip(s) at the interesection of the selected scene/track(s) all start recording just as if their individual clip record buttons were moused.

Anybody? Am I missing something?
