Playing Push - Live indicates one Octave lower than expected

Hi

This is a curiosity that I haven't noticed until now.

When playing a scale on Push and listening to a synth's output, Live always indicates one octave lower than the external synths play, as verified with four different synth (Operator/Microbrute/Minitaur/Virus Ti) and a tuner on my interface.

e.g. play C on push, live displays C1 played, external synths play C2.

Can anyone reproduce this? Is there a setting somewhere I'm note aware of? What am I missing here? :)

Cheers, J

I don't understand. When playing a scale on Push, there's any number of root notes that are available. Where it corresponds to on a keyboard depends on which you choose... Doesn't it?

That's right, play any of the blue notes on push for the root note, which might be a C, Live shows one of the Cs playing depending on which of the blue notes you play. Whichever one I choose, when I check on the piano roll in lives midi clip I see the key go red and note the number, e.g. C1' but C2 plays on the midi devices, confirmed with a tuner? Dos that make sense? Just don't understand why there one octave out, maybe it's something in my config?

The system that assignes midi notes to octaves is not standardized. Live chose another one as others (but not as all others)

It's a bit of a mess, but you'll get used to it.
