Hello Can anyone tell me how to disable the MS GS wavetable synth? When i try to use ASIO4all, Abelton tells me, its already in use with the said device.
I use windows XP SP1 on a Tosiba Pentium M 1.4 witha built in Sigma Tell soundcard, my other Soundcard is an RME HDSP
I did a search on this site and the wider Net
Thanks in advance

Open Live.
When in Live open the Preferences. You will see GS Wavetable synth listed in the available MIDI Output ports. Ensure it is NOT enabled.
Exit the Preference and restart live ... does it still complain ?

I'm glad to hear the advice has helped!

I do alot of tech support for Cubase SX users and this is a problem for them also.
Problem is if this port is left enabled whenever applications are launched they will attempt to initialise the port on startup. Using this synth requires the whole soundcard be taken over and thus if the ASIO driver is started by the application first, it will complain that it cannot start.
Cheers
