Midi mapping melody to my drum triggers

I am attempting to use drum pads/drum triggers to play Midi instruments within ableton, I need to know how to map a particular note to a specific drum pad on my electronic kit. The end result would allow me to play a bass line or such through hitting 8 or so individual drum pads/drum triggers while playing acoustic drums at the same time.

The module I'm using is an ION IDM02 running through a M-Audio M-TRACK and into a PC.

I think I would change the MIDI pitch for each pad being sent out by the Ion - so study the Ion manual for that.

I was just suggesting to look at the online manual for this information as there is a lot of it there that may get you to where you want to me. I know I need to use it more lmao
