Warping audio

Hi guys,

I'd like to know if it is really necessary to warp an audio sample ?
Is it only useful until I hear a difference between a unwarped and a warped sample in the track or should it be done always?

Thanks!

Depends how long the sample is used and if you're going to loop it a lot to the point of it no longer fitting into the beat and rhythm of the song.

Also, you could use warping to further add the rhythm/flow of your song.

Essentially, it's up to you as the producer if you feel it's necessary. For a one-time playing of the sample where you can't hear it - probably not. But warping it (not necessarily to the BPM of the song) could wind up providing some interesting rhythmic stuff.
