Max4Live needs Java? I had no idea.

It would seem that Max does not appear to require Java. When do you get this message?

Are you Max 7 testing? Suggest you email the list about it....

You'll have updated to Yosemite i think?

I started up a few of my m4l devices and checked Activity Monitor for any instance of Java. There's nothing. I'd say M4L doesn't need Java by default. Something most likely does. a M4L device can run java code or at least call it externally. Please give us more information on what you're M4L devices you're running when you get this message.

Does this happen when you drop the "Chorus X2.amxd" on a track for instance?

OK, but where is java even used? It's not listed among the requirements of Max 6. java doesn't start up when I start Max or add a plugin in Live 9.

Is it specific devices that use java? Which ones?
