Neebie here.

When I change Scales with Push then save and close out Live when I reopen the set, Push stays in C Major. I make notes for what key I was in.

Am I missing something? How do I link a Push scale selection to a set?

Out of the box is not possible.

With clyphx (a sistem by a third party which uses clips to make complex operation in live, avaiable at nativekontrol.com forum) you can do it.

In the meanwhile what I do to remember what scale I used is to just write the scale in to the clip name.

Thanks all. I'll look into Clyphx and I also did not know about Scale MIDI effect. Until then I'll note the scale in the clip name and take good notes in the "Info Text" field.

We've been asking for this since a Push came out, hopefully it will be added soon.

There is a UserSettings.txt file in the Clyphx Midi Reomote Script folder that allows the user to set the initial key and scale (among other things) on startup.. as others have said, you can then change this using clips and clyphx in the Session view.

We know that it CAN be done with push/live, I guess the devs are like "do it clyphx and create 3rd party workflow" because clearly they aren't doing anything to develop push with live.

Bitwig does this with their controller script now and it works great. Bitwig isn't a replacement for live, but it's pretty sweet.
