Gain Staging Master Volume Issue

Im trying to gain stage in the arrangement view, bringing down the volume of each track to get more headroom in the master channel, but the master channel visually shows no decrease in volume. Ive done this on many other projects and have been able to get the master to -6 db with ease. Does anyone have any idea why this project is not doing this or anyone experience something similar?

Not sure, but you can probably just stick a Utility on there and set the gain -6db to get more headroom so the master fader doesn't move from 0db

Does it happen no matter how much you lower your channels or have you only tried lowering them a bit and there is no change on the master? If the latter, do you have a limiter on your master channel?

$10 says there's a compressor with makeup gain enabled on the master.

Double-or-nothing it's in RMS.
