Alesis Qx49 Won't Send Signal...

Hey guys, I'm using mac by the way..
I've had this midi keyboard for long, only recently did i start getting problems with it.
I've done all the steps to add the midi keyboard to the drop down list menu of control surfaces, but it just won't show up.
I added the configuration to the preference folder in under ''library'', but still….
