Do You Guys think that NWA was closer to G-Unit or P Enemy ?
I know that all 3 share the rap in music classification but underneath it all what do you think the similarities or dissimilarities are?

After careful analysis and consideration, I'd say that probably the closest similarity between these three artistes would be that they all share an affinity for the cornhole. Where they differ would probably be in their relative but associative degrees of mediocrity with respect to talent and product output.starving student wrote:I know that all 3 share the rap in music classification but underneath it all what do you think the similarities or dissimilarities are?

after listening to more of their recordings I would have to say that the G-Unit probably falls into more of the conscious rap category than the other two as the subject matters that grace the topics they cover always seem to crest above the social plight of mankind.

I reckon NWA were closer to G-unit. I heard Professor Griff couldn't stand Ez-E.

De La Soul just released a new track featuring Chuck D. Haven't heard it yet. Just sharing.

PE was the first artist that opened my mind to the possibilities of sampling. Chuck had great charisma on the mic....
I did follow NWA and Ice Cube (first few releases)/Dr. Dre (up through the chronic), but that was party/stoner music. PE captured me intellectually and philosophically. I have not really listed to any of that music for 20+ years now

all PE talks about is money, women, and cars but G-Unit they really take you off the deep end spiritually you know, it's almost like listening to a church choir when you think about it.

If I do a search, and I listen to some stuff, am I going to hear about n......s, muthafuckas, bitches and hos?
I don't even want to waste my time with that nonsense, but if it's enlightening then I'll think about it.

I think Griff didn't like them because they said they weren't down with that black shit, and Griff is a pro black tard soo.cmcpress wrote:I reckon NWA were closer to G-unit. I heard Professor Griff couldn't stand Ez-E.
