KMI QuNeo: mapping macro controls + editor while using Live

Hi,
I'd like to use my Quneo in combination with my Push and midi keyboard for live performance.
The Quneo will be used for triggering drum racks, Push for clips (occasionally drum racks/synths) and midi keyboard for synths.

I'm having trouble mapping the Quneo. What I'd like to do is to map the 4x4 grid and some of the other pads to the drum rack (no problem) while using the sliders and rotary encoders to control the macro controls of the rack. Unfortunately they won't map automatically as, say, most controllers with 8 rotary encoders (e.g. Novation Impulse, Nektar Panorama, M-Audio Axiom).

I've tried two templates (official and one i've found on this forum), but no avail. Any help?

On top of that, I'm not able to use the Quneo editor software simultaneously with Live (9.1.6). I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. Is this impossible? It's not convenient having to exit Live to adjust the midi mapping of the Quneo, relaunch Live to check etc.

Thanks in advance!

The beauty of the QuNeo is COMA mode. Make sure you read up on this in the manual, as this is where it really shines in customizing each pad/fader/rotary to behave how you want it (pressure, x axis, y axis, etc..)

hint: hold the circle pad down in the top left corner until it turns blue - now you're in COMA mode

The editor software needs to access the usb, as does Live.. so it has to be one or the other. You should maybe think about what you want to map, how you want it mapped, edit in the QuNeo editor software, and then midi map it in Live. I know it's not ideal, but once you figure out COMA mode things should make a lot more sense and you can setup a basic template and augment it's features with the COMA mode features to do all the things you want each control to do.
