connecting hardware synth

OK. So I have a macbook pro, apogee duet 2, and now a Novation Bass Station 2 analogue synth. I just realized that my apogee duet does not have a midi port - so how do I integrate my synth into my set-up so I gain control of my synthesizer from ableton live? Any help is much appreciated!

...that came with a user manual
and an USB cable (according to the manual/packing list on the product page).
Use them both.
In that order.
