midi controller that is permanently assigned+armed to trac

Hi All,
Is there a way you can set a controller to permanently control 1 track whilst you get all funky with the apc and push on other tracks.
e.g. drum rack loaded with FX
I just want to control via a separate controller that is permanently assigned + armed to this track even if I don't have the track selected.
Thus freeing up my APC and push to do other things at the same time.
