Really? This spamming shit STILL happens on this site? WOW

Because shit mods still have shit non-responsible clauses..........

It looks like this is the same person as before, same MO, again using scripting to post 100's of posts within a few mins. So I think it is less likely to be a spammer or bot and more likely vandalism by some obsessive nutjob with an axe to grind.

Is forum software no clever enough to detect unusual posting patterns yet (like on credit cards) and suspend someone if they suddenly post 20x in 1 minute!!

Perhaps his real name is Wayne Kerr.

Maybe a good solution would be max 1 new post every 15 minutes and/or max 1 reply every 5 minutes? This won't stop spam, but it doesn't pollute the forums that fast.

Yeah not keen on that. It should be possible to bar posting exactly the same post repeatedly though. They have such a script at KvR.

There's also baysian filtering which "learns" spam patterns in content via statistical analysis and can prevent posting of certain material so that an admin can look at it. I use that for my email. The tool I use makes 99.4% accurate calls out of tens of thousands of spam I received trough the years. I get 50-100 spam messages every day and they all go straight to the trash.

Are you seriously suggesting the kind of porn you was thinking about should be a normal part of Ableton Forum content? There are, you know, other web sites for this. Anyone stopping you from going anywhere you want on the net?

If all you meant was the igetby brat's interest in porn, that was just an observation given the brats expressed interests, sexual slurs and recurring use of some well known sexual expressions in the english language. I actually don't care who it was that spammed last night or who is spamming right now. Of course a spammer is a spammer and will spam again. That's just inevitable and nothing to worry about.

So in other words: you have no basis whatsoever for making that accusation.

Making baseless accusations is in my opinion a much bigger offense than having off color language.
