NOTABLE EVIL

Ableton takes MINUTES to open a random EMPTY set.

Ableton takes MINUTES to save a random preset in the browser.

Ableton takes a SPLIT SECOND to CRASH, everyday, EVERY F*CKING day.

Ableton took AGES to update those pixelated graphics to retina (2012) displays, or to add dual monitor support.

Looking forward to another DAW... i am tired of staring at the monitor or waiting the next crash, rather than working on my music.

That's horrible - it would drive me crazy.

But most of us running Live on a Mac do not have these problem (my sets load, open and close fairly quickly) ... so, in case you want help, say a bit more?

Which version of OSX, of Live?
How long has this been happening?
What do Ableton support say?
Have you tried resetting Live?

now 9.1.7. 64bit since live 9 came out it happens
now on Yosemite, but on Mavericks same thing.
from what i read from other users, Ableton is awared of this issue... nothing happens, bug reports are useless
reseting live?

I've had few problems with live 9 on 2007 MPB an 2008 iMac both on osx 10.6.8 snow leopard......

Mind you I only use 32-bit live 9......

According to ableton, the not responding on the indexer is false (Just the way osx reports it).

It is working. And not crashing.

I can't keep up.

When I was not SSD, some of my projects took forever to load (windoze) and though I have some projects that take forever still, it's not the norm.

I'm working with a rather large set (100 plus tracks, lots of crazy routings + hundreds FX and several hundred midi assignments) and I too notice a general slowdown in operation even when the CPU indicator shows only 50% use.

But in smaler sets it's snappy.
