hi everyone
so i would like to dj with live.... but i'm having an annoying problem when i play the tracks in my clips. every now and then sound is interrupted, its a minor interruption but it just screws everything up, making this option of djing useless for me. the cpu meter reads 13 % (more or less)as the clip plays and everytime sound is interrupted it jumps to 26%.That happens wether i play one or more clips. Are my settings off? Is it my computer? Any comments are most welcome.
Im using an ibook g3, 500mhz, 320 ram. Not the fastest unit but it should be able to handle djing tasks or not?

do u have a Firewire audio-interface with your G3 ?
If so, I recommend for you to search in this forum deeper.
There's a firewire issure with live+macs(especially PBs)

Upgrade that RAM as much as you can - get it as close to a gig as possible. A lot of dropouts stem from lack of physical memory.

no, im not using any audio interface, yet.
Upgrading ram seems like a good idea mmmmm. maybe ill save some money and upgrade my laptop instead.....
Thnaks for the advice, i was testing it last night and i there were noticeably fewer dropouts, but i didnt change anything, dont exactly know whats going on.....

maybe it's the Airport.

Unlikely in his situation. His dropouts are most likely a combination of slow internal hard drive and lack of Ram.
