EIE pro audio glitching? popping? crackling ?

I've been struggling with my eie pro card for a while now. it used to work fine with reason and live but for the last year i have tried many things to fix the audio glitches that occur when i basically do any kind of selecting with the mouse.
usbport.sys had high dpc using latency monitor and I kept going round in circles updating drivers and unistalling devices reflash bios, clean windows installs etc etc etc....

But tonight i came across a comment on youtube and i think it has finally solved or at least made making music far more enjoyable.
Anyway for fellow eie pro users that may be having issues

I've got the cheaper EIE Audio Interface, it's stopped working! It's going back to Digital Village! I'd only used it twice.
