Has anybody actually got GS3 and Live to work on the same machine? Running Live on a PC (GS3 is PC only) and starting Live first and letting GS3 be the Rewire slave. When you look at GS3 it actually indicates it is in ReWire mode and greys out certain configurations as it should. All audio is lost in GS3. Live seems fine and GS3 actually appears in the channel selection as it should and you can choose the virtual ports and midi channels. I read someone else in this forum had the same problem but was able to get GS3 to work with another application other than Live.
It's like Live is taking all the audio resources. I then close the GS3 session followed by closing the Live session. I launch GS3 and it does not work even on its own. The only way I can get it to work again is to either log out and in again or restart the computer. I also tried launching GS3 first and then launching Live just to see if GS3 hangs on to its audio...and no. I dies when Ableton is launched...again requiring a re-login. Is there a setting I am overlooking? I tried this with a PCI audio card and then a FW device. I even tried having them both at the same time with GS3 with one audio device and Live with another (extensive testing with reboots/etc.). I even disabled ALL audio on Live...and the moment Live is launched GS3 stops working until a re-login or reboot (again, even as a standalone with Live not in the mix).
Thanks for any input you have...
