Don't you need to be complaining to Akai about this?

And in another thread entirely?

Seriously. I've repeatedly resisted making snarky comments in those threads, because if you want to bang your head against a wall, well, that's your prerogative, but please keep it to relevant threads.

Psyched to buy this book when it's available in Kindle format. I almost want to buy a hard copy too. I miss Dennis's old tutorial videos, always liked that guys style.

While I understand your frustration and agree that it's a massive oversight, I don't think Dennis has anything to do with this.
Probably not, but he should help get it fixed. In any case, I'm just soldiering on.... :)

Do you need to fill every topic with that complain?

Maybe you should call Ableton by phone every day until they fix it.

And if you want to stick your dog in this fight (and especially if you have a problem with me posting about it), you should too...

Fat chance.... (I usually post about it only once per thread, but will repeat myself a lot more if requested... (or feel I must, since I really feel ripped off)
The more action about it, the better.... (and for me, it is the principle of the issue). Trying to provide tough love to Ableton and its fanboys is a tough, lonely job, but someone has to do it.

Ableton won't accept it as a bug report. They changed their documentation after I noticed the problem, too. I love Ableton but this is unconscionable...

(Of course, they could offer to refund my money, so I could get a Launchpad Pro instead...)

:)

Not at a nursing home, but certainly in the company of idiots here ....
Do you discriminate about other issues?

:)

(Hey, I'm having fun if you are...)

Sorry to hear that.

Look at it this way Chuck, you can take heart in the knowledge that you'll likely be dead before they fix the problem you're so concerned about!

Look Chuck, can you PLEASE BACK OFF?

I don't mind you doing whatever you like in the Lounge, but this is the Music and Audio production thread, and I would like you to respect the forum rules.

I am sorry you feel ripped off about this issue. But firstly, your problem is with Akai, not with Ableton. And secondly, this thread is not about that issue.

So give it a rest. Please.

Yeah, I discriminate against people who post off-topic troll bait (i.e. you), geriatric or otherwise.

YES! I find the book very interesting but I don't want any physical books in my homelibrary any more.

Discriminate away then. Treachery and experience will overcome youth and skill.. :)
In the meantime, just keep answering my responses, and I'll continue to do the same.
And names will get you (and me) everywhere here.... If I am trolling, it is alright with me.

But I'm not. I am serious about the issue and I want Ableton to rectify it or give me my money back (and others if they so wish on this basis).

But instead, they promote books...

:)

But you are. This thread has nothing to do with your concern and now you've hijacked what was a serious discussion.

Wait, you bought the hardware from Ableton?

Really?

No, you didn't because they don't sell those pieces of hardware.

You're going senile, Chuck. Shut down the computer and step away from the internet. It's obviously accelerating your condition.
