Roland System 1 Plug Out Sh101 OSX 10.6.8 problem HELP!!

Hi Folks
In need of some advice and help....

Just purchased a Roland System 1 anyways plugged it in downloaded the Sh101 plug installed it.
It shows in the AU list but wont load cant open it ..ive tried both 32bit and 64 bit Live anyone got any ideas?

Im running OSX 10.6.8 and Live suite 9.1.7

Anyone had similar problem fix work around?
Only got a few days to send the sunth back to get refund :(

It originally only was available as a VST3 file. VST3 is not supported in Live. I think Roland said they were (or already have) made VST 2.4 versions. You should check their website.

Thanks guys this answers my question looks like my problem is 10.6.8 operating system :(

I understand wanting to hold on to a stable OS for dear life but eventually software developers are going to stop supporting it and I see this really ramping up over the past couple years. Everybody wants you to upgrade because it’s less hassle for them to support a bunch of outdated OSes.

A scarier situation might be waiting to upgrade the OS for a long time and then your computer won’t support the latest OS, or at least not smoothly. Quite the pickle. If you are OS upgrade adverse I recommend upgrading to the current OS just before the next version is going to drop. It should be fairly stable and third party developer supported by then, especially on a Mac because developers know Mac users love to just reflexively upgrade the OS even when it’s not value added to them.
