Hi all,
A while back I got to spend a few hours at José González studio in Gothenburg. I was sent there by Swedish musician magazine (http://www.musikermagasinet.se) in order to write a feature about his work on the new " Vestiges & Claws" album.
A cool detail was that this acoustic guitar driven dude mixed the entire album in the box, using mostly UAD stuff but also internal Logic stuff. It is pretty interesting that while many electronic musicians is getting out of the box again, buying more hardware boxes and modular toys, this more old school singer-songwriter goes the other way
.
A short English abstract of the interview is available here: http://petermarchione.se/visiting-jose- ... his-studio
Cheers!
