I'm needing to generate a tone that plays infinitely, whether playback is stopped or playing. I know this can be done a number of ways with M4L devices, but I'm currently on Live Standard, and literally the only reason I'd be upgrading to Live Suite would be for this, which seems like a bit of a waste of money.

For context, I'm building a live redundant backup system with 2 MOTU Ultralites and a Radial SW8 Auto-Switcher. The Radial needs a test tone sent to it so it knows when to auto switch to the backup computer.

Any plug-ins out there that can do this?

I'll leave it up in case anyone else is in search of the same thing as me. I had found posts about mda's TestTone, but since I'm running 64 bit Live, it wasn't working for me. What did work, however, is MeldaProduction's Moscillator. Just what I was looking for, and the best part is it's free!

Hey Beat. Found this mini-thread today while looking for the same thing. Downloading the plug in now to see if it works with Live 10 for this purpose. It sure would be great if Ableton allowed for routing of the internal test tone. I mean...it's there....why not give us the control to route it to a separate out on our interface? Would solve all of this mess in a few clicks.
