Universal knob: possible?

I`d like to have a knob on any controller wich will act like universal. meaning it will control last touched control. Possible?

i found that it works perfectly with APC40 mkII. If not mapped, first device control knob act like that.

If you don't want to use M4L, Macrobat (part of clyphx) has you covered with the nK Learn rack for free.

is it possible to get this for 3rd party plugins ?
ONE from Max4Live works fine with Ableton parameters, but can it be done for all other plugins as well?

You can if you add the third-party plugin parameters in Configure Mode. Once added, One will be able to see those parameters.
