The auto warp markers that i have read about (missed the beta) do you still have to find the bpm and does the sample/clip have to have a perfect start point and finally, do the answers to my questions apply to vocal tracks the same ie bpm and start of sample?
Thankyou

The autowarp isn't perfect. Sometimes it doesn't work, but a LOT of times it does.
Usually I need to move the warp marker to the correct downbeat, but after that it is usually pretty correct. As far as vocals go, it is more hit-and-miss. Without hard transients, AW has a difficult time.

It is the NUTS tho

It's a time saver, but it has never once perfectly warped a track for me. It cuts the warping time in half though, and anything that can help me warp more tracks in less time is definitely welcome!

it certainly finds the tempo pretty accurately.
adjusting the downbeat is all i've had to do when autowarping any sequenced/quantized music. with this type of music 9 times out of 10, all i have to do is adjust the start point.

now jazz and human groove... thats an entirely different story. more like 4 times out of 10.

its strength is in its time saving.

and you know what, i'm kinda glad its not perfect. there are enough DJs already.

Yeah, a bit of skill should be needed at least.

In the future you'll probably be able to press "Generate Tune" and the software will make the next Trance Anthem
