Write "post-it notes" on a project?

I was just scrolling through a bunch of recent projects left half-finished, and it struck me that I didn't really remember them. Blame my age.
An idea: Would it be possible to have some kind of yellow "post-it" notes inside a project where you could yot down things to remember, or things to fix next time etc.
(Pardon me, if such a function already exists.)

There is an existing feature called "info text" but is implemented so badly I use it as my example of the way Ableton tend to badly specify, half-implement and then abandon features and then never ever repair them.
So anyway, it's called "info text", prepare to be underwhelmed.

I'd have to agree on that one, a half done idea that works but is sooooo sloppy. Basically you can right click on a clip, track etc and choose to edit the info text. Then when Live's help pane is open and you mouse over the text you edited, you can see it. But you also see every other default help text otherwise, so it's a bit clunky.

Added bonuses:
if you close the info pane there is no indication an element has info text, so no indication to open and read. You might have an info text on your return track, your master, your master chain effect rack. But its a secret!
Once upon a time, in Live 8, the browser would search the info texts you'd entered, in fact, hovering over browser items in L8 would display the Info you'd entered. A nearly great preview feature for user content! but it would often fumble and lose the assignments and they'd go blank. and you'd have to rebuild the library to get it working again.
They fixed this in Live9's browser by removing that feature altogether.
There is more.

Haha, nice!

I would use that for sure. It would also be super cool if we could link to tracks or devices.
Let's say you have notes on the master channel, like
1. "fix
channel 3 eq"
2. "maybe reconsider the
channel 1 kazoo+saxophone+timpani rack"
Then you could just click on the link, and be taken directly to the channel and a specific device if you want.

And if there is Info text or Notes like robertaplant68 suggested it would be nice to navigate to next/previous note.
Because it can be difficult to remember where all info texts are.

I just have a google doc where I keep my notes, although I am intrigued by the idea about linking to specific devices in the set.

Yes, sorely needed. I think projects need a global note option (e.g. to track general mix notes and help manage actions required on a project) as well as a track note option.
I quite like the idea given by Roberta Plant. And will try out the M4L plugin as a work-around.
I think the notes function should be built into the "info box". Perhaps a toggle button to swap between "info", "global notes" and "track notes".

I assume this M4L device is saving its own text files, because I don't think the infotext is accessible via the LOM
?

+1.
Im wondering if you could do this as a channel strip. So have clips containing notes that match up with scenes in the session view and are placed in the timeline in arrangement view.

I guess make a really wide track and place it off to the side. Rename the clips to make notes. Probably cumbersome and just an idea I came up with and have yet to try.
