Maximize your Dell Laptop's performance

I just got my new Dell Inspiron (Pentium M 1.86) and ran AdamJays performance tests. Since I got very poor performance I started investigating. I turns out that none of the Dell Quick Set power profiles (the ones you quick switch between down in the right corner) runs the CPU att full performance even when connected to a wall socket. It doesn't even seem that you can create your own profile there that maximizes CPU utilization.

Instead, you have to use the Microsoft Power Profile chooser right next to the Dell one. There you can choose between a much wider range of profiles. Obvious, eh?

Now with the profile "Always On" my machine runs the test at a respectable 20%.
